The Challenge: Malicious tokens spreading through social trading feeds
Share connects social discovery with instant execution, however, this can be risky for users. A malicious token can quickly propagate through Share’s social feed and pose a threat to hundreds of users.
Share's infrastructure, built by founding engineer Subrat Prasad, was designed to handle this exact challenge: stopping malicious tokens before they spread to hundreds of users through Share’s social feed. Protecting our users without restricting legitimate activity became critical to scaling safely.
The Solution: Blockaid Token Scanning API
Share architected an inline token validation layer that invokes Blockaid’s simulation and classification APIs to analyze transactions and contracts in real time before execution.
This allowed Share to flag malicious contracts, prevent risky transactions, protect copy traders from mirrored scams, and allow safe engagement with legitimate airdrops. The integration was easily completed in a couple of days, with minimal performance impact. Because Blockaid operates at high speed, Share was able to maintain a fast social trading experience while adding a security layer underneath.

Results
In the six months since integration, Blockaid has scanned over 222,000 unique token signals for Share, identifying 27,766 malicious entities—roughly 1 in 8 tokens evaluated.
Of the scams Blockaid prevented, 77% were rug pulls, honeypots, and airdrop pattern abuse, common attack types that social trading platforms like Share is exposed to.
