Blockaid Brings Onchain Monitoring to Solomon's USDv Stablecoin

Blog Post
Blockaid Solomon Labs

Executive Summary

Solomon is building the dollar infrastructure layer for Solana. The team designs and operates USDv, a fully reserved, Solana-native stablecoin backed 1:1 by short-dated U.S. Treasuries and cash, built to stay liquid and composable while streaming rewards to tokenholders with no staking, wrapping, or rebasing required.

Solomon runs Blockaid's Onchain Monitoring across the USDv program, which was opened to the public this week. Monitoring coverage spans the issuance contracts, the privileged access controls that govern the stablecoin, and even the web domains holders interact with, watching the operations a stablecoin's stability rests on.

An unauthorized mint, an unexpected reserve movement, or a misused privileged instruction can each break a stablecoin's peg and undermine holder confidence. Blockaid gives Solomon continuous oversight across those control surfaces, and that protection extends to every protocol, fund, and institution that integrates or touches USDv.

The Partnership: Real-Time Detection on the USDv Program

Prior to USDv's launch, Blockaid's team worked with Solomon's engineers to map the program's contracts and privileged addresses, and build out the relevant set of monitors to provide continuous coverage for how the program is used. Blockaid eases onboarding for issuers by providing out-of-the-box system monitors to cover common risk surfaces for stablecoins and for protocols that integrate USDv. From there, Auto-Discovery continuously watches for contract updates to surface new monitors that keep Solomon's security posture current as the onchain operating environment changes.

USDv's program is independently audited and its reserves are reported through regular attestations. Those checks verify the system at a specific point in time, and monitoring runs continuously between them. Solomon operates the program and holds its keys, and Blockaid brings the threat detection and intelligence layer that alerts the team the moment activity breaks from expected behavior.

Onchain Monitoring Across the USDv Program

Blockaid’s Onchain Monitoring runs the security lifecycle across the USDv deployment in four connected functions:

  • Monitor - Blockaid holds the USDv program, its privileged addresses, its mint, and Solomon's domains as one live inventory, built from what the protocol actually runs onchain and refreshed as that changes. For an issuer whose integrations multiply as adoption grows, coverage tracks the deployment itself rather than a list written on onboarding day.
  • Detect - Monitors run continuously against Blockaid's threat intelligence across the operations issuance depends on, flagging anomalous mint and supply activity, reserve movements that depart from policy, changes to privileged controls such as upgrades and role grants, liquidity and redemption flows that precede price discrepancies, and impersonated frontends targeting holders. Every alert is defined against the failure modes of issuance, so what fires is what matters to a stablecoin.
  • Investigate - Each incident arrives decoded, with the instruction path, the addresses involved, and the flows behind it laid out, so the team starts from what happened rather than reconstructing it.
  • Respond -  Detections route into the channels Solomon's team already works in, with severity attached and updates as the event develops, and Blockaid's security experts stay alongside the team on events that need human judgment. For a stablecoin, how fast a signal becomes a decision is what separates an anomaly from a depeg.

Looking Ahead: Stablecoins Are Bringing Real-World Assets Onchain

Stablecoin supply has passed $300 billion, and those dollars already settle trades, carry payments, and sit in treasuries across crypto-native and traditional finance. They are real-world assets working onchain, dollars backed by Treasuries and cash, and the model keeps widening as issuers bring yield to the dollar itself and tokenization pulls more asset classes into reserve and collateral roles.

That growth moves value out of banking rails and into programs, and oversight has to move with it. Regulatory frameworks forming around stablecoins expect issuers to demonstrate continuous operational control, and the institutional teams that hold or integrate these digital dollars run the same diligence before they commit capital. Blockaid’s continuous oversight of USDv gives holders the confidence required for Solomon Labs to attract deposits and scale USDv quickly and safely.

This is the case Blockaid's View on Security makes, that protection has to run in real time, across every relevant signal, at the speed of the chain itself.

About Solomon

Solomon is programmable monetary policy infrastructure for productive digital assets. Its platform tracks how assets are held and used across wallets, applications, liquidity positions and protocols, then routes their economics according to policies defined by the issuer. USDv, Solomon’s fully reserved dollar on Solana, applies this system to stablecoins by allowing rewards to reach eligible users while their dollars remain liquid and in use. By separating an asset’s utility from the distribution of its underlying economics, Solomon enables issuers to create assets that remain productive wherever they go.
