Kabila Integrates Blockaid to Bring Real-Time Security to Its Wallet on Hedera

Introduction

Kabila is a Web3 social platform on Hedera built around one idea: that creators and communities should own their digital presence. Through its suite of integrated tools, Kabila enables creators to launch NFT collections without coding, trade Hedera NFTs on its marketplace, and build token-gated communities called "Plazas" where creators can engage fans, deliver premium content, and monetize directly without intermediaries.

At the center of the Kabila experience is the Kabila Wallet, a non-custodial wallet built specifically for Hedera. Through the wallet, users manage HBAR and tokens, connect to dApps, view and trade NFTs, stake HBAR natively, and access everything Kabila has built in one place. It serves as the gateway to the Kabila ecosystem and broader Hedera dApps. As the platform grows and its user base expands, protecting every transaction and connection at the wallet level becomes critical.

The Challenge

Wallets sit at a uniquely high-risk intersection in Web3. Every transaction signed, every dApp connected, and every token received is a potential attack vector. For wallet users on a platform like Kabila, the threats are real and ongoing: malicious memo URLs embedded in transactions that drain users, impersonator websites designed to look like legitimate platforms, and NFT metadata injected with malicious content. These are active, recurring attack vectors that continue to target users across onchain platforms.

The challenge is that traditional security approaches, regex filters, backend-only tools, and manual reviews, can't keep up. Scammers adapt within days, and by the time a pattern is flagged, new variants are already live. What's needed is real-time, proactive protection that sits directly in the user's path, stopping malicious connections, blocking dangerous transactions, and preventing funds from being lost.

Today, Kabila is integrating Blockaid to bring real-time onchain security to its wallet

The Solution

By integrating Blockaid, Kabila now benefits from End-User Protection, a real-time security layer that sits directly inside the user experience, scanning every transaction, token, and dApp connection before a user interacts with it.

  • Transaction Scanning: every transaction is scanned before it's signed, detecting malicious activity, wallet drainers, and suspicious behavior, giving users the confidence to transact freely
  • Token Scanning: tokens and NFT collections are validated automatically, filtering unsafe assets, scam collections, and impersonators from users' wallets, marketplace listings, and airdrops, keeping the marketplace trusted and clean
  • dApp Scanning: whenever a user attempts to connect to a new URL or application, Blockaid checks it in real time and blocks the connection if the site is flagged as malicious, stopping phishing attacks before they start

This protection runs in real time, built directly into the Kabila wallet experience, so users are covered at every step without ever leaving the app.

Hedera Chain Support

Kabila's integration is part of a broader commitment to securing the Hedera ecosystem at every layer. Blockaid has built full chain-level support for Hedera, including native transaction scanning across Hedera's HAPI transaction types, onchain monitoring with real-time incident detection, and threat intelligence tuned specifically to Hedera's unique attack patterns, from malicious memo-based phishing campaigns to token impersonation and malicious dApp connections.

This means that any wallet, marketplace, or dApp building on Hedera can now embed the same real-time security layer that Kabila ships to its users today. As more ecosystem apps integrate Blockaid, the protection compounds. Each new integration adds signal, and the Hedera ecosystem becomes safer.
