The Challenge: Institutional crypto trading requires speed

FalconX operates a high-velocity institutional trading environment where capital allocation decisions move fast. As traders execute transactions at scale, every transaction must meet the governance standards FalconX upholds for clients and counterparties.

While FalconX’s MPC workflow reduced single points of failure, it created time-consuming, manual reviews of transaction details, slowing down operations. As trading scaled, the team recognized a need for additional tooling beyond their existing MPC architecture. 


Blockaid’s Solution: Real-time transaction security

FalconX requires automated, deterministic, and output-based transaction validation, embedded directly in their existing signing flow. The solution needs to secure high-value transactions without sacrificing the velocity demanded by the business.

Blockaid's Cosigner does exactly this. It quickly integrated into FalconX's existing MPC wallet architecture and execution workflows. For each proposed transaction, Cosigner:

  • Simulates onchain execution in a sandboxed environment 
  • Analyzes and displays contract interactions and token movements
  • Evaluates malicious or unintended behavior of the complete transaction method 
  • Enforces policy rules based on expected transaction outcomes

This evaluation occurs in under 300 milliseconds, enabling real-time security and policy enforcement without disrupting trading velocity. Transactions then either proceed, are routed to additional approvers, or are blocked — based on defined policies and risk procedures.
